In this episode I had the opportunity to talk to Melanie Benjamin, prolific historical fiction author and New York Times bestselling author of The Aviator’s Wife (among others) about her new novel. California Golden will bring you back to the 1960’s when women surfers were a rarity. Lin Salisbury is the producer and host of Superior Reads on WTIP Radio 90.7 Grand Marais, and on the web, and has hosted New York Times bestelling authors, National Book Award winners, Minnesota Book Award winners, and Pulitzer Prize winning authors on her monthly show featuring author interviews and book reviews. She is currently at work on a memoir, Crazy for You, and a novel, The Violet Hour Book Club. She is the recipient of two Minnesota State Arts Board grants, and has been awarded the Lake Superior Writers Creative Nonfiction Award and a Loft Mentor Series fellowship in Creative Nonfiction.
